You’ll be involved in creating new VM’s, correcting and testing connections, updating our system details, housekeeping of our five support servers which currently hold over 200 test environments, 80 VPN VM’s and a number of production servers.
You’ll also be responsible for carrying out a number of daily checks for our customers, specifically looking at disk space and analysing/correcting any errors reported.
Working alongside one of our senior consultants, you’ll set up SQL maintenance plans and annual health checks.
You’ll have prior experience in handling issues in Windows OS and knowledge of SQL Server and writing SQL statements, be a personable problem solver with a genuine curiosity to improve your technical knowledge and gain new skills. If you have previous programming experience in Java, then great, but don’t worry if you haven’t – a desire to learn is equally as important.
You’ll have excellent communication skills, be able to deliver to deadlines and be prepared to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations and be able to multitask effectively.
This role gives you the opportunity to build your knowledge and skills, working alongside one of our senior consultants who will provide full training and will guide you through the setup, maintenance and continued improvement of our servers and facilities.
The duties are varied and full training and guidance will be given.
